The fourth Thursday of November is observed as Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving Day is a celebration of gratitude. The very emotion that we sometimes forget to pay attention to. Though the significance of gratitude is vital. In recent years, there have been studies that emphasize the importance of gratification on our mental and physical health. Practicing gratification not only circulates the positivity around us but also makes us feel happier, reduces our stress, and strengthens our relationships. It wouldn’t be exaggerated to say that gratification improves the quality of life.
Gratitude could be defined as finding goodness around us and being genuinely thankful for that. “Genuinely thankful” is paramount here. Gratefulness should come from our hearts, not just to please someone.
This is so natural in all of us, that we often notice negatives without realizing it. To see the goodness, and to focus on the positives in everything around us, we need to put in an effort. Thus, I often think we all should practice gratitude by recognizing positivity and giving selfless appreciation to the reason for that positivity. There could be numerous ways of practicing it, such as keeping a gratitude general, performing gratitude prayers, take a time to think first before commenting on something, spending time with nature, reading inspirational books, refraining from gossiping or doing meditations, etc. As we say what we practice daily becomes our habit one day. I believe that this blissful emotion also would become our habit one day😊
I love the way kids are growing up. Every year during Thanksgiving weekend, they give us a Thanksgiving card that they create. They use their love, and emotions, and write in their beautiful handwriting “What are they Thankful for?” Over the years their answers got refined, but the crux is still the same. They are thankful for their family. They are thankful for their teachers 😊. Such an innocent, remarkable, and pure emotion kids carry!
With many thanks and a grateful heart, I present my recently published children’s book to you all!
